The Unseelie

Once of the Fae the Unseelie are now Mistresses of dark, twisted, and dominating Arts and Powers. Ruthlessly ruling the enslaved races in their caverns and tunnels beneath the shadow, the Unseelie fight and bicker amongst themselves for Glamour, slaves to torture, and to be the most powerful Witch of them all, the White Witch.

Unseelie Warfare

When an Unseelie Slaugh goes to battle another it is rarely for the purpose of killing, as much as the Unseelie love to inflict pain. Slaves for the mines or to torture are never in plentiful enough supply for the incorigaible Dhrow maidens, nor the spoils of the mines, veins of gold and silver or platinum with the properties to focus and store mana for the power hungry Witches.

In the twisting and dark tunnels the Slaugh's engage each other for these vital assets: one side to retain, the other to capture and take away. Sometimes raids are for Dhrow themselves, the quarry upping the ante.

Capturing is the chief skill of the Unseelie. By their Law it is forbidden for a Dhrow to be slain by another without the permission of the White Witch, and the thought is athanema to the enslaved Haeg and Dallag races. Unlimited and inventive torture of a Dhrow is perfectly permitted and accepted.

In battle then whilst the Haeg and Dallag can massacre each other to their still hearts content, no harm can come to one of their Dhrow Mistresses. Instead they are to be taken alive ready for the rack or whip and the combatants are armed with nets and chokers and straps to wear down and bind a Dhrow so she can be hauled back to the Slaugh's cavern for special attention until ransomed back to their Slaugh which may take months or years.

Only the White Witch can authorise expeditions to the surface the Dhrow left a long time ago. Again these forces are little more than raiding parties seeking hated golden-haired Tautha to capture and make scream for mercy, rarely given. Yet with the capture of some fire-haired maidens interest in the land above has been rekindled and some Slaughs have secretly begun their own raids.

The Slaugh

There are five major factions in the Unseelie world, and many short-lived smaller ones of extreme behaviour that regularly splinter off from a larger Slaugh. Each of the major Slaugh have different methods and damsels that give them unique behaviour in battle.

  • White Slaugh: Most powerful of the Slaugh, the White Witch can use her influence to 'borrow' damsels from the other Slaugh to boost her own strength and to keep any opponent's guessing as to the nature of her forces. The White's own forces are not weak however, consisting mainly of Dhrow and Haegs and the most experienced and ruthless Dhrow - the White Witches own Handmaids. Such a large number of Dhrow means the Slaugh has little to worry about the make up other the force is it going to face. Against Haegs, Dallag and Beastials they can kill at will and a White Dhrow always wants to add another Dhrow to her leash. A White Slaugh Heroine also drug their bright-haired slaves and herd them into battle, more to see them die than to see them fight - revenge for the past. A White Slaugh Heroine should use her Dhrow as the main fighting force, spearheaded by Handmaids if available to destroy the enemy. White Haegs are of high quality and more likely to obey their Mistresses than fall under the sway of Dhrow from another Slaugh and can stand up to them for a while acting as a delaying force. A large Unit of Enticed Slaves act as another, cheap, diversion and don't forget the option to take Damsels from any other Slaugh which will keep your opponent guessing.

  • Gomorra Slaugh: The decadent Slaugh, an amazing feat amongst the Unseelie, where Dhrow and Haeg conregate and copulate as near equals to spawn twisted offspring. The Gomorra Slaugh has more, and more dangerous beasts then the other Slaugh. The strength of the Slaugh comes from its unique arragement between the normally superior Dhrow and entrhalled Haeg. Instead of fighting apart they form mixed Units of Lusht Maidens and in the course of battle engage with each other in decadent acts that build up a special magic that improves the abilities of the copulators - the longer they engage in the Gomorra Act the more magic they generate although if they do it for too long the maidens could climax prematurely and perform little part in the battle. The Gomorra Heroine has to carefully weigh the length of time the Lusht Maidens need to boost their skills for the kind of role they will be used in the battle and the other Units required to protect the Maidens as they work each othe into an estatic state. The most efficient way to do this is to screen the Lusht Maidens with Dallag or tough Offspring and any Heroines that aren't also engaged with the Maidens. Then, when the Lusht Maidens have produced enough of their special magic, infusing the air with their charged state, release them into the enemy to do their dirty work.

  • Sadomax Slaugh: Even other Dhrow feel unease and trepidation in the proximity of Sadomax dames, their reputation for cruelty and torture having no equal. In battle the Dhrow Mistresses like advantage of this fear by attacking those most suspectible to their deadly nature first before turning against those with the courage to stand against them. The Sadomax Slaugh has just a pair of not very unique Maiden types: their Dhrow and Haeg maids which both have Glamour higher than their respective ordinary types in other Slaugh. The other advantage to this pain-wanting Slaugh is their ability to take the punishment they want. Sadomax Dhrow are Stalwart and require more Hits than their H stat to actually injure. This trait has its use against foes who do not use the special Unseelie attacks (Deliberation and Subjugation). The Slaugh has a mix of Heroines available to it: the mass-murderess Opiax with A7 and GLAM5 is capable of sending entire Units fleeing in terror by herself, to the less skilled Raefin Haeg Magi.

  • Domina Slaugh: Where the Sadomax like to receive pain even more than they deliver, the dark maidens of the Domina Slaugh seek to control their slaves and victims completely. Their Magi have concocted many spells and potions that will make their enemies full under their siren-voiced control, and those that don't they will suffer the painful and repeated lash of their tongues against their flesh until they comply. The control the Dominatrix' keep over their subjects keeps them in battle longer - too afraid to flee if they are caught later, or unwilling to give up the life of utter servility, conditioned to think that their existance as bondaged thralls is the way it should and can only be. A Domina warband can be a sizable force containing many Dominatrix' and their fawning slaves: captives and submissives from Beneath and Above the Shadow; many gold and red haired maids press themselves against their Mistress with drugged devotion and wish only to do their bidding. Those of lesser favour are gagged and bound and their blinkered eyes toss and turn like a stormy sea. The Harnax, or Ponys, rush at their foes like beasts to break their formation and cause confusion before the rest of the band attacks to seal victory. The Slaugh's Heroines are not as capable combatants as others and rely on their spells to turn their foes against each other.

  • Darachul Slaugh: To strengthen their numbers the Slaugh of Blood mate with foul beasts that are violent and poisonous, producing offspring that sprout chitnious legs and leathery wings. The most terrifying of these are the Arachaegs, Haegs from the waist up only as eight spiderly legs sprout from beneath silver silken webs that hide and protect the lower half of their disturbing form. Fast they can quickly flank an unwary foe or get close and use their greater height and poison dripping Phalux to impale or crush their foes. Yet the Ararhaeg are just one of the many freaks the Darachul uniquely enjoy. Many maids have bony spider legs arching out from their back or wings providing additional weapons or a limited ability to fly - in the dark interior of large caverns many other Slaugh bands have come to grief when silent Dchul waiting patiently on the walls and ceiling drifted down to catch them unawares. Of Heroines the Darachul have many and all are arrogant, none more so than their shining ivory, Psilvix who desires nothing more than to claim the title of White Witch for heself and lead the Unseelie back into the shadowless lands for revenge and conquest.
